Here's a couple of pics of a young lady called Jo. She's from London, but I met her recently in Greece. Please feel free to post them on your site. I'd be grateful if you'd point out a certain page on my site - http://cuddlynecrobabes.com/mh/theme1.htm this page has a number of pics - however if anyone checks out the stories page - http://cuddlynecrobabes.com/mh/STORIES.htm - even more hoop pics can be found.  JLG (Webmaster) Sorry about the posting delay, there was an email goof up. Cool girl! Does she know?

Hi! I've been visiting this place for a while and I love the look of hoops! I don't think I would ever wear them though cause I'm paranoid about getting my ear lobes torn. I always hear horror stories about that. I know they say they're safe, but has anyone here actually got one pulled off?

Robin 10/31/03
Hi, There have been some great photos posted recently. The real-life pics are by far the best!
As far as earring safety goes, any earring can get caught or even pulled by another person, therefore I think if this is a concern, then what is important is not the size, but how easily they release. Certain types of earring are to be avoided. There is a good section on this site about this.
Some people do however enjoy having their earrings tugged or just the feel of heavy earrings in general.

Pattie 10/31/03
Squeamish, don't worry! It happens to me all the time and I never had a problem! Some of the bigger ones come off too easy, and I hate to admit it but I even have a pair that I ended up putting backs on over the flip things because they were coming off for no reason. Yea, I used to hear the stories a lot too, but for the life of me, I can't think of anyone I actually know who had their ear tear out. The closest I ever came was with a beaded shoulder duster that had a French hook, but even then the wire just bent. The biggest problem is infection and that's just a matter of keeping things clean.
Pete, I got your email but I once had a bad experience with emails so I just stick to these kind of forums now. I'm looking forward to your first story, you have such good visuals in your writings!

Kim 11/1/03
For once I'll agree with Pattie. As long as the ear is well healed, it's pretty hard to tear it. Even I have been known to knock my earrings off while combing my hair. Hoops are great because they look so bold, but they come off easier then any other earring I can think of.

Kelly 11/2/03
Squeamish, Hoops are great and safe! I can't get enough of them so I just keep piercing my ears! I attached a lousy picture of myself. Sorry, but it's real hard to take a picture of your own ear! Duh!

I'm up to 8 on my left, and six on my right. About a month back I was combing my hair in my usual frenzied way and caught the bottom hoop in the comb and yanked it right out! It hurt, but as you can see there was no harm done!

These are my medium set. I also have a really large pair I call my joy hoops! I'm more into silver then gold because of my black hair. What do ya think?

Hi, I can only say thank you. I've finally found the site that make me feel normal. I've always been a lover, even addict, of girls in big hoops, but have never been able to find anyone else who shares my love for hoops. Your galleries are excellent, and closely resemble my own collection, and I agree that there is no need for anything harder as even an average girl in huge hoops becomes the sexiest woman on earth!
Looking forwayd to seeing even more. Thanks again

Hoopguy4 12/16/03
I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to buy some large hoop earrings? I am looking for really big ones like 4 or 5 inch hoops for my wife. I can only find medium sized hoops. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. JLG (Webmaster) I am told that Kmart carries the "Joe Boxer" line of jewelry (go figure) Including giant hoop earrrings!

Pattie 12/19/03
Simon, I got your mail, but when it comes to email, I'm the one who's squeamish! (I had a bad thing happen once.) Still love my hoops, but I think they are going out of style :(  I overdid it this week, went to a party and ended up putting Christmas tree balls on my hoops.. Ouchie! guess I got a little too drunk! A friend says she has pictures, so if I can get them and I don't look like a drunken idiot, maybe I'll send one in to here! Wish everyone the best and a Hoopy New Year!

Pattie 1/9/04
Happy new year!  Hey, where is everyone?

Bandit 1/13/04
Hi Pattie It is quiet....I think we're all waiting for the pics of your Christmas balls in your ears....ha!

CODYDUSTER 1/16/04
Kelly , I really like the picture of your ear. It looks really great. I think a lot of earrings on a girl is really attractive. Are you planning on having  your ears pierced more times, I noticed there is still room to add more rings if so I think it would look great. It will be cool to see if you have added any more. later

Came across this site, glad to know I'm not the only man fascinated by pierced ears and ear piercing.
I used to see girls at school come in with their newly pierced ears - it was sleepers in those days - and think how lovely their ears looked. My Mum didn't have hers done but my auntie did. Anyway my girlfriend who became my wife had pierced ears and she had told me about it, eventually I got the courage to ask her if she still had her original sleepers from her piercing, but she said no. She asked me why I liked them and I replied that it looked like the ears had just been pierced. A few weeks later we went on holiday and she gave me a little packet as a present - inside were a new pair of sleepers! Wow, she let me put them in for her and now there's always earrings when we are close. Sometimes I put her sleepers in, sometimes i like to watch her put them in. I guess I'm like Stephen, it's the fact they go through the ear and of course sleepers you can turn and tug on which she likes. I told her I would have loved to have been there when she had her ears pierced and asked if she ever wanted another hole done, but she has said no to that and I respect that. Our daughter now has pierced ears, this was her choice we didn't make her have them done. I do not like seeing babies and tddlers ears pierced because it is oonly for the parents enjoyment - but that's another subject. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be with her when she had them done, but i've seen ears pierced quite a few times in the shops. I'm now looking for some large hoops for my wife, who seems happy about wearing them, but I would say to you fellas out there go and get some ordinary sleepers - or hinged hoops as they are now called, the one that form a perfect ring and so can pass through the earlobe, or girls go buy some for your man, and let him turn them for you. I too have not shared this secret about ear piercing and pierced ears with anyone and can spot newly pierced ears a mile off. Yes they are sexy, yes they are a turn on. Has anyone read the book "Pierced and Pretty" it was written my a Mum whose daughter had wanted to have her ears pierced, its out of print now, Also "The Enchanted Ear" is another book about ear piercing Although I would like to have an ear pierced I can't, but I do have a pair of clip-on sleepers which is for private use - my wife has never seen them. I did once go on holiday by myself and stood outside a jewellers shop that was offering "ear piercing while you wait" I wish I had gone in now and had one ear pierced just to experience the whole thing if only for a week. Thanks for the site - I'll keep looking

I found your web site several months ago when I was searching the web for stores here in the UK (I live in the vicinity of Earl’s Court, in London) that sell hoop earrings. I just love wearing earrings, mostly hoops, and I’ve enjoyed visiting your site now and then to look at the pictures for earring ideas. I’ve been meaning to send in a picture of my own earrings for months now, and I have finally sent a scanned picture of me that a friend took when I was at a party a few months ago. I’m wearing three hoops in my three lower pierces, and two diamond studs in the top two, and if you look closely, you can see the small gold ring I usually wear in a pierce I had done at the top of my ear in my cartilage last Fall. My right ear, which you can’t see, is just triply pierced, in the lobe only. Once in a while, I will wear six small hoops in my left ear, but I most typically wear three rings in the bottom holes of both ears, and studs of one sort or another in the top two holes of my left ear. I either wear a hoop in my cartilage pierce, or a stud. Also, if you look closely in this particular picture, you can see that I’m also actually wearing a little tiny gold ring in my nose. That’s the reason my friend took the picture, actually, because she thought that my nose ring with all of my earrings looked so interesting. It’s not pierced through, though, just a slip-on. I thought I’d send in this picture in particular, out of others I could have done, because I’d got the idea for the nose ring from that story on your site called “In, not on” by someone named Barbara, in which she described wearing a ring in her septum while she was out to dinner with her husband. I’d never thought of wearing anything like that before reading that story. But, one Saturday afternoon shortly after I read that story, I found one of my old tiny sleeper hoops whilst cleaning out one of my drawers at home, and recalled that story, and on a lark I slipped it onto my nose. I did so like it as I thought it looked and felt so pretty. It simply took loads of persuasion on my part to convince my husband to let me wear it to the party where the picture was taken, as it was my first time wearing it out of the house, actually. But, he eventually agreed, thank you dearest, and I did have so much fun with it that evening with my friends, and received several compliments on it. I’ve since taken to wearing it now and then out shopping and such. Some of my friends surely think I’m a bit daft to wear it, as does my husband, but I like the way I look with it anyway. I even had a half serious conversation with my girlfriend about having the septum of my nose pierced through like I’ve had my ears done, because I have so many different tiny pierced style gold and silver hoop earrings I could wear there. I shan’t have it done though, because of where I work, and my husband will not want me to have a pierced nose anyway. Anyway, it's been fun to peek at your site, and I've it to thank for the cute little nose ring idea. Yours truly, Abby

like you i was fascinated by barbara's "in not on" story. i read your post and admired your photo (you are a fox). it is a shame that your husband will not allow you to pierce your septum as the gold ring in the photo really looks attractive on you & you could keep it hidden at work by using a retainer that would not be obvious to others.

I am at the very tail-end of the baby boomers - in my opinion the first modern American generation to enter adolescence as ear piercing was becoming wildly popular again.  Hoops, in addition to being very lovely in themselves, also are a powerful reminder of the styles and mores of the culture immediately preceding my own.

RJA 3/31/04
I'd love to see a good closeup of Linda Cardellini (Velma in the Scooby Doo movies), wearing large bold hoops.

Pattie 4/7/04
I love your new earring site! Dangles are another favorite of mine! I still love my hoops the best, but I do like to play around a little and dusters are always nice if you want to look classy but still have fun. I can't wait to see what's next!

Hi There, I have your email from https://likeglass55.tripod.com/ I'm looking for BIG Hoops like on the picture, but also different kind, The main thing is that I want to buy BIG hoops. I hope that you can help me out. Kim
P.S. Love your web site, keep up the good work.
JLG (Webmaster) That picture was from about 3 years back! I think it is on the Geocities site in Gallery 7. You would need some mighty strong lobes to pull that look off!

The beta site looks great. Can't wait to see the real deal!
Reading some of the recent postings inspired me to go back and read Barbara's story again. It was perhaps even better the second time. Barbara if you are still tuned in, I'm looking for a few more chapters. I don't really care for the septum piercing, but the rest is great reading.

Thank you a lot for this wonderful site. I know not a lot are crazy about hoops but here we are we exist. I love to watch girls with big hoops and whatever big earrings. That's why I insist on making your future site the dangled earrings. Cause in hoops you are restricting it into just this category. Which is good so far but please make all the funky and huge earrings. Available and trust me the number of fans will become more and more. JLG (Webmaster) The pictures I have, I put up! There are some in the cue, but time has prevented me from doing an update.

Chantal 6/26/04

I was looking at the new page you have and saw pictures of eyelets. I don't think your readers know just how painful and damaging it is to have them put in. I have attached pictures of my friend having it done. She said it hurt a lot. You can only stretch so far, but for the large eyelets you have to have them cut into your ears. She looks nice, but I would never have it done.
JLG (Webmaster) The pictures may be a little to graphic for this site, but it sure looks painful! I suspect for now I will stick to pictures of the finished product.
